Books have always held a special kind of magic for me and I guess you could say my passion for reading is hereditary. My family, of course, will disagree with that ~ they believe I have singularly given new meaning to the word 'obsessive' when it comes to books and reading!
Very often while I was growing up, I was referred to as the 'day-dreamer' for I always had my head up in the clouds, spinning stories of my own, or bent low with my nose firmly buried in a book. In school I was hooked on Judy Blume, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys. When I was thirteen, I fell in love with GONE WITH THE WIND and THE FAR PAVILLIONS and books suddenly introduced the world of romance to me. Shortly thereafter, I stumbled across Harlequin Romances and this new discovery sealed my fate forever. Now I've been reading romances for over twenty years and reviewing for close to five. My tastes have diversified over time and I also enjoy reading mysteries, thrillers and women's fiction. However, my primary love, when it comes to novels, remains romance.
As for hobbies, I enjoy spending time working on my cross-stitch projects, baking, listening to music and traveling. I am also an aspiring writer working on a contemporary category romance. Other than that, I'm very interested in the fine art of Jewelry making and gardening, but I haven't been able to devote as much time to either of these hobbies as I'd like to. I live in the beautifully scenic Pacific Northwest with my husband and two young children.
