REVIEW

"An engaging addition to "Those Sullivan Sisters" trilogy"

Andrea Sullivan has two sisters which sounds fairly ordinary, except for the fact that they are triplets. Although born fraternal, Andi, Jenny and Kristen all share a special relationship that is much more than just sisterhood.

Ex marine, Andi is back in Gold Creek to help her aging aunt keep her business going. She finds that she is becoming attracted to the mysterious man who works at her brother-in-law's ranch. This man is definitely not a cowboy, although no one knows exactly who he is or where he came from.

Harley Forester, as he is currently known, suffered a motorcycle accident that has left him with amnesia. He has no recollection of his former life, which leaves him troubled. He too, is beginning to have feelings for Andi. Although, he has no knowledge of what he has left behind and tries to resist the temptation.

When Andi recovers Harley's motorcycle she also finds clues to his former identity. But, she is afraid that she is going to lose him by helping him discover who he really is. She has come to care for him as Harley and feels that deep down no matter who he turns out to be her feelings will remain the same, but will his?

As Harley pieces together his former life he feels that Andi deserves better than the man he was. Both wrestle with feelings and try and to resolve their dilemma.

Gold Creek is brimming with secondary characters from the first book. It is like coming back to greet old friends and they richly add to the storyline. We see the return of Kristen who has a big surprise of her own.

WITHOUT A PAST is book two in the Sullivan Sisters Trilogy. However, the author has done a remarkable job in making it stand alone. She recaps the saga beautifully, leaving nothing out for the reader. I look forward to Kristen's story but will be sorry to see it all end. Debra Salonen gives her fans another emotional tale with some surprising twists and turns. I definitely recommend it!

Summary

Jenny, Andrea and Kristin Sullivan are much more than sisters—they're triplets. Growing up as one of a threesome meant the days were never lonely...or dull. Now they're adults—with separate lives, loves, dreams and secrets. But underneath everything that keeps them apart is the bond that holds them together.

Andrea—the middle Sullivan triplet—is intrigued by the mysterious stranger working on her brother-in-law's ranch. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Harley Forester's no cowboy. He doesn't talk like one and he doesn't know the first thing about horses. So who is he?

Even more perplexing, why is Andi so attracted to a man without a past?
