REVIEW

"This one is delightful."

This is just the most wonderful make you feel good book. It has the most delightfully tortured hero and, of course, the career woman who is burned out from her high profile job. I absolutely devoured this one.

Claire Levander is on the way to Alouette, Michigan to check out a quaint bed and breakfast for the company she works for and also because the company doctor has told her that she's on the way to a stress related ulcer and needs some down time. It's quite dark on the road and Claire sees a mother bear with her cub on the side of the road. As she looks back, a deer leaps over her rented car and leaves quite a dent in the hood. As she veers off the side of the road, she bumps into a tree.

Claire doesn't care about the car though. She's afraid that she's hurt the deer and while she debates on whether or not to try to find the deer, she remembers about the bears so she's quite apprehensive as she gets out of the car. She picks up a big stick just in case she sees the bears again and starts walking out of the woods looking for the deer. She comes across the bears but one is not a bear only a bear of a man named Noah Saari.

Claire is intrigued by Noah and wants to get to know him better but Noah is a loner. Plus Claire has to check Bay House over. She doesn't know what to think of all the eccentric people at Bay House and what is this rumor about being in the bridal suite?

This book was an absolute delight to read. The quirky characters were so much fun and they were all pulling for Claire and Noah to get together. Even though Noah came back to his hometown and holed up in his cabin, the people of Alouette still admired him. I highly recommend this book.

Summary

Some Call Him Hermit, Others Call Him Hero
Noah Saari is a North Country Man

A few years ago, Noah left the woods of Michigan, ready to make a difference in the world. After a tragic accident, he came back—blamed by some, pitied by others, misunderstood by all. Now the only thing he wants is to be left alone.

Then one night, Claire Levander stumbles across his path. Claire's not made for the backwoods—she's a businesswoman whose idea of the perfect vacation spot is a well-stocked resort. And although he doesn't know it, she has a plan that could change the lives of the few people in his hometown he still cares about. Even worse is the fact that she might just change him.
