"This one does not disappoint!"
Talk about action packed adrenalin-rushing
adventure, it's all here in this book. I know every little
minor interruption kept me in a perpetual bad mood while
reading this book because I simply did not want to put it
down. This is Mike Muldoon's story and what a story it
is. Mike's been picked to show Joan DeCosta around the
base and get things ready for the President to visit.
Instant sparks fly between Mike and Joan but Joan has a
hang up about age...mainly the fact that she's several
years
older than Mike. Mike's only problem is that he was a fat
geeky kid growing up and now he's sort of grown into a
gorgeous hunk. He still does not believe it himself and
his living out his dream of being a SEAL is more than he
could ever imagine. Joan is no beauty queen but she's comfortable with
herself and likes what she does. She doesn't have time for
anything serious with Mike but he's just so persuasive!
Then there are all these other things getting in the way
like location and what each of them do for a living. All
Joan wants to do is maybe have a fling and then go back to
the normal routine of her life if there is such a thing.
Neither of them can even begin to know what is going on
behind the scenes prior to the President's visit and how it
will totally change their lives forever! Then there's the secondary story of Joan's
grandparents, Vince and Charlotte. I think I enjoyed this
story as much as I did Joan and Mike's story. The
background to this intertwines beautifully in this two-fold
story. I have thoroughly enjoyed every Suzanne Brockmann
book I've ever read and hope that there will be many more
to come. This one is highly recommended!
