"A Magical Fantasy"

Nic Stone is Fae, an immortal from the realm of Faery. But he fell in love with Anna, a human woman. He asked Queen Titania to give Anna immortality, and the queen granted his request. But with her usual duplicity Titania twisted the rules so that Anna had to die and then be reborn as an immortal. Nic now has one chance to find Anna and make her fall in love with him again -- or he loses her forever, and he must return to the realm of Faery to be Queen Titania's slave.

Nic thinks he has found Anna. She is one of two sisters living in Telluride, Colorado. Dianna is the younger Fielding sister. She is a famous pop star; young, impetuous, and used to having her own way. She looks enough like Anna to be her twin. Stacy is the elder sister. She has managed Dianna's career, and written many of her songs. Stacy is taller than Anna was, with curly hair, where Anna had straight hair. But when Nic is near Stacy the attraction, the promise of incredible passion, is overwhelming. He is convinced that Titania has created the extraordinary attraction to Stacy to distract him from finding his one true love -- Dianna.

Nic passes himself off as the new gardener. Being a gardener is the perfect job for one of the Fae. He loves to make things grow, and Stacy is deeply attached to her gardens. He keeps fresh lilacs constantly blooming, and a new bouquet in the house each day. He needs Stacy's help to win Dianna away from her career and her fiance, and he will win, if only he can keep from falling in love with the wrong woman.

CUPID'S MELODY is a delightful, imaginative novel. Ms. Fox has created a reality with flower fairies, very mischievous pixies and an extremely treacherous queen. It is light-hearted and humorous on one hand, but has a deep love story with painful consequences for Nic and Anna if he doesn't choose correctly. The characters are wonderful, and it is fun to accompany them as they unravel all of the twists and turns that Titania has placed in their path. Nic is a great hero. He is strong, masculine, handsome, and has enough magical abilities to make any woman fall in love with him (and all of her fantasies come true). I am definitely going to look for Ms. Fox's backlist!

Nic's search to find his reincarnated wife leads him to sisters, Dianna and Stacy. All he has to do is convince Diana, the spitting image of his long-lost Anna, to love him again. Easy for a sexy faery. Except that Stacy is the one he keeps kissing.

Summary

Faery Nic Stone had no idea he was about to make the mistake of his eternal life when he asked the Queen of the Fae to grant immortality to his beautiful bride, Anna. To become immortal, he discovered only too late, Anna first had to die and then be reborn...

It has taken twenty-five years for Nic to re-enter the mortal world to search for his lost love, but he is convinced that he has finally found her. After all, Dianna Fielding is the spitting image of his wife. Masquerading as her gardener, he vows to seduce her heart all over again. But why is it her sister, Stacy, who makes him ache with that all-too-familiar longing? Either someone has cast a spell on him, or Nic is falling in love with the wrong woman. If he follows the stirrings of his heart, will he find true love--or will his beloved be lost to him forever?
