""Must Have" Book for Corgi Owners and Lovers"
This "must have" new book for all Corgi lovers was created
to benefit CorgiAid, a nonprofit organization that helps
with extraordinary expenses and medical treatment for corgi
and corgi-mix rescue. Over 50 "Corgi people" contributed
articles, stories, photos, and artwork. Although the
fictional short stories and some other articles are breed-
specific, many of the sections in the book are applicable
to all dog breeds and would be fun and useful reading for
any dog lover and owner. The first section of the book discusses finding a purebred
dog from a reputable breeder, the differences between
Cardigan Welsh Corgis and Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and the
world of dog rescue. It is followed by a canine health and
care section: talking to your vet, understanding dog foods,
special diets, first aid, basic obedience training, raising
a dog in the city. The "What Corgis Do" section covers
activities such as dog showing, agility, herding,
obedience, flyball, tracking, and Corgis as therapy and
service dogs. There is a section on "Corgi Fun, Myth, and
Magic". Interweaved between the sections are short
narratives from Corgi owners about the antics and
activities of their pets. Oh, and adorable photos of the
contributors with their Corgis. You can find more information about the book, and how to
order, at http://www.corgiaid.org/book/index.php. It is a
large softcover book (256 pages, 8.5"x11"), and sells for
US$25.00.
