REVIEW

"A riveting page turner!"

The long awaited story of Ellen Denby, head of the Dundee Agency. Fifteen years ago naïve, Mary Ellen Denby met Nikos while she was on holiday in Golnar. What followed was two weeks of pure unbridled passion, which ended when Nikos left without warning with just a note telling her thank you for the wonderful time. After that encounter Ellen would never be the same.

Nikos was many things to many people but he specialized in blending into the woodwork and getting impossible things done. He'd been a friend of Theo Constantine for many years so when Theo and his wife Dia's daughter Phila was kidnapped with her nanny, Faith Sheridan, they only wanted the best to go after their daughter. Consequently this meant that Ellen and Nikos would meet yet again.

Ellen and Nikos are stunned at meeting face to face after fifteen years but both have deep dark secrets hidden so well they may never see the light of day. Can they work together to get this seven-year-old child back to her family after the past they've shared? Even Nikos doesn't know the depth of secrets that Ellen has just as Ellen knows next to nothing about Nikos.

This emotionally charged story was riveting. I simply could not put it down for one minute. I'm solidly hooked on The Protector series and will be looking for Beverly Barton's backlist every chance I get just so I can catch up on the rest of these stories. I know I'll be the first one in line to get the ones that Beverly Barton will be writing in the future. I highly recommend this series and most especially this book.
