"Mad About the Man"
Jacques Ledan has a vision to turn Goldstrike, California
into the next family amusement attraction. Unfortunately
the people in that town are not thrilled with the idea and
the protesters are lead by Gaby MacGregor. The woman is
not only messing with his plans, but messing with his mind
as well. Gaby MacGregor loves Goldstrike exactly the way it is.
Sure the population is declining and its not exactly a
hotbed of activity, but after living in Los Angeles, Gaby
knows that glamour isn't everything. How can she convince
Jacques that the town is fine just the way it is and to
leave well enough alone? I really enjoyed MAD ABOUT THE MAN, it was funny and I
couldn't put it down until I read the last page. Jacques
is perfect as the brooding hero who has had everything
easy until now, and it was fun to watch Gaby give him a run
for his money. Whether you read MAD ABOUT THE MAN, when it was first
issued or are a new reader to Stella Cameron, you are going
to enjoy the story of Jacque and Gaby as much as I did. Go
and get your copy of MAD ABOUT THE MAN, before you are mad
about missing the book. Barb Hicks

SummaryWhen Jacques Ledan, the legendary candy-making
multimillionaire, comes to sleepy Goldstrike, California,
determined to revitalize the town with a theme park and
spa, local milliner Gaby MacGregor makes no bones about
telling him how horrible his plans for her hometown are.
Although they are on opposite sides of the fence, they
can't help the attraction that brings them closer together.
