"Wonderfully fast and unexpected plot!"
The Claibourne sisters, India, Florence and Romana have
recently taken over management of the famous department
store Clairbourne & Farraday (C&F) from their father, Peter
Claibourne. No sooner does this news hit the papers, the
Farraday men, Jordan, Bram and Niall issue an immediate
legal challenge to take over the store completely, with the
intention of liquidating and selling the considerable
assets and property of C&F. In an effort to delay the proceedings, India Claibourne
invites the Farraday men to work-shadow the sisters in
order to see why they believe they are best suited to the
management of C&F. The Farraday men agree. Investment banker Niall Farraday and Romana Claibourne get
off on the wrong foot the first time he arrives at the C&F
offices. Niall's visit just happens to coincide with the
beginning of C&F's annual charity week. He makes no secret
of his opinion that the Farraday men will win management of
C&F while Romana is determined to prove the Claibourne
sisters are the best team for this job. So begins a wild and fast adventure and somewhere along the
way, as Niall shadows her, Romana discovers his soft side
which he keeps hidden under layers of aloofness. Before
long, Romana finds herself in love with the enemy but
there's no hope that Niall might feel the same way about
her. He's still deeply in love with his deceased wife! Liz Fielding's THE CORPORATE BRIDEGROOM is a wonderful
romance that starts off on a very adventurous note. The
plot was fast and unexpected and had me turning the pages
rapidly as the story unfolded. I was pleasantly surprised by the events of the C&F Charity
week and Romana definitely scored high marks as a heroine
with a strong back bone. Her character was terrific.
She's just the kind of woman I'd want as a friend -- she's
fun, gutsy, caring and very loyal. A perfect mate to
Niall, who's sorrow and undying love for his late wife was
portrayed in a beautiful and heartwarming manner by the
author. For a fast-paced, fun and adventurous read sprinkled with
sweet romance, be sure to read Liz Fielding's THE CORPORATE
BRIDEGROOM. You'll enjoy it quite thoroughly - I promise!
