REVIEW

"Jason's long awaited story!"

CALL OF THE MOON is the long awaited story of Jason Donovan, brother of Rick from the MIDNIGHT SERENADE novella in AFTER TWILIGHT. Believe me, it is well worth the wait!

Jason has been battling his werewolf shape shifting for three long years. Now he's a homeless person living in an alley, always looking for the person who did this to him. When a prostitute propositions him and follows him into his alley, he's not even interested, but then she changes into a wolf right before his eyes. He's simply horrified but he's also intrigued. Then when her pimp also changes and they try to kill Jason, a very petite Native American looking woman appears and starts fighting the werewolves.

Even though Jason has lived with his shape-shifting for three years now, he's still amazed by what he sees. When the two werewolves gang up on the woman, Jason changes into a wolf to try to save her. The next thing he knows is he's waking up in a cave and is tied spread-eagled on the floor. How did he get there and who is the woman?

Tala Soaringbird is the chosen one of her slowly dying out tribe. There are only a handful of her people left and they hide their tribe well. When Tala brings Jason into their secret village, she's broken one of the tribe's rules. But Tala has had visions of this man and wants to figure out what it all means. Now she has to convince Jason to stay and her tribe to let him stay without killing him.

I read this book in one sitting. I absolutely could not put this book down. It was fascinating from the first page to last. The twist at the end only made the book all that much stronger and better for me! I can only hope that Ronda will give us more stories like this because she definitely has the knack for telling an intriguing paranormal story! I feel that Tala's brother Haidar really needs his own story!!
