REVIEW

"A full, very satisfying and entertaining story!"

Melanie Brannigton, office assistant to the police department, lived a quiet, conservative and some might say dull life until Detective Dominick Roarke joined the force. They had only worked together for a few months but their strong attraction to each other was hard to deny. Because Melanie has sworn off men with her hard luck love life and heartbreak and because of the nasty divorce in Roarke's past they fought the sparks that increasingly arced between them.

When a suspected murderer kidnaps Roarke, Melanie offers herself as decoy to lead the police to him. Bound, gagged and blindfolded she's taken to the kidnaper's lair. An electronic homing device implanted in a temporary filling will alert the police to where she and Roarke are being held. However, before the police can get to them, their demented captor forces them to obey his sexual commands and, in the process, give in to the mutual desire that had been escalating over the past few weeks till the passion they so diligently tried to keep at bay ignites into a fire out of control.

For a Quickie, DECOY is a full, very satisfying and entertaining story. There's just enough suspense to have you biting your nails and reading faster as Melanie is manhandled and Roarke vibrates with fury, but not so much that it takes away from the underlying tenderness between these two richly drawn characters.

With her fast pacing, believable dialogue and vividly sensual descriptions Ms. Michaels has a way of pulling you into a story filled with strong emotion, tense drama and erotic adventure, urging you toward a climax that will have your toes curling, your heart pounding and will leave you breathlessly wanting more. This is a definite keeper; one this reader will read again and again.
