"This book really rocked!"
What can I say about this totally awesome book?
First, it was fun to see acquaintances in this book.
Secondly, Susan Grant simply cannot write fast enough to
satisfy me! This is the story of Captain Jordan Cady, co-pilot
of United Flight 58. On a routine flight from Honolulu,
while trying to dodge what they thought was a storm, was
actually a space ship that kidnapped the whole darn
airplane. All Jordan, her crew and the passengers' think is
terrorists have kidnapped them and they'll do anything to
insure the safety of the whole plane. What they later find
out is much worse than anything they would have ever
imagined in their whole lives. Kào has been recuperating on his adopted father's
ship since being released as a prisoner of war. His father,
Commander Moray has great plans for him but he only wants a
simple life. When he's told of the rescue of the airplane
full of Earthlings after a comet destroyed Earth, he only
wants to help the Earthlings acclimatize to a new life. Jordan and her crew have a hard time trusting these
aliens but what more can they do? Earth has been destroyed
and they're the only survivors but what do the aliens have
planned for them? Jordan finds herself attracted to Kào but
could it be because she's afflicted with the Stockholm
Syndrome? If she can't trust Kào, then who can she trust? I liked everything about this book, the beginning,
the middle, the end and the characters! I will admit that
this book is quite dramatic and I shed a tear or two at the
perfect ending. I know I will be standing in line for
Susan Grant's next book!
