"Intense category romance! Riveting!"
Imogen Atkins had loved Dracco Barrington for forever. She
dreamed of being his bride despite the difference in their
ages. At last her dream came true... but at what price? On her wedding day, Imo's step mother confides in her that
Dracco already loves someone and is marrying Imo purely for
full control of her considerable wealth. When Imo
questions Dracco right after the wedding, he admits to
being in love with someone. Heartbroken, Imo flees,
leaving behind her broken dreams and struggles to make a
new life for herself in South America. Dracco waits patiently on the sidelines, biding his time.
Four years later, when Imo needs a large amount of money,
she approaches Dracco. Now that she has come back to him,
whatever the reasons, Dracco is determined to keep her in
his life. After all, their marriage was never annulled and
letting her go again is out of the question. He lays down
his terms - he wants his wife back where she belongs and he
wants a child. Is Imo willing to pay the price? If you love alpha heroes who steal your heart from the
moment you first meet them, you're going to love Penny
Jordan's May Harlequin Presents, THE BLACKMAIL BABY. Talk
about intense! Ms. Jordan's latest novel is a passionate romance between
two warm and dignified characters who prove to be strong,
courageous and full of a lively sensuality that urges the
reader to keep turning those pages. This book was
definitely a one-sitting read for me -- very difficult to
put down! While Imo and Dracco take the Oscar for creating
sizzling tension that burns through the pages and keeping
my attention riveted, one cannot overlook the invigorating
and refreshing gloss the author has given to the runaway-
bride/marriage-of-convenience plot. With her excellent talent for creating three-dimensional
characters and the ability to leave the reader guessing at
every turn, Penny Jordan's THE BLACKMAIL BABY is a
testatment to her considerable narrative prowess. I highly
recommend the book to lovers of Harlequin Presents.
