REVIEW

"Both stories are captivating and compelling!"

"Fly with a Dragon" by Rosemary Laurey fed my imagination and fascinated me until time had no meaning. This is the story of Myfanwy. She is the virgin daughter of the chief of her village and has been offered up to the Dragon of Cader Bala. Myfanwy is frightened half to death but when the Dragon comes to claim her, she refuses to show her fear. What Myfanwy doesn't know is that this dragon, Arragh has a reason and a purpose for wanting Myfanwy. First he must do all he can to insure his and her safety in escaping from the village warriors who are lying in wait to kill him and whoever get in the way of their goal. Maybe if Arragh shows Myfanwy that he's not as wicked as his reputation she will work with him towards his goal. He sees that she is a brave young woman and will suit his purposes admirably.

"Heart of the Raven" by J. C. Wilder was equally as enthralling. This is the story of poor Dani, the daughter of a traveling band of wastrels. She's treated as a slave and her father, Con will think nothing of selling her if the price is right just as he sold her older sister. When two elegant and well-dressed men enter the camp and ask to share the fire with the travelers, they cannot refuse the men. Then they start gambling and Dani's father and uncle lose way too much money. They offer Dani as payment for the debt. The older gentleman agrees but doesn't know what he will do with another slave. Still he decides to take her to his castle. There he finds a most pleasant surprise about this poor wandering girl. She is 'the one' who will break his curse. Now can he talk her into going along with this or will he have to trick her?

These two stories are must-reads. They are captivating to the point where I felt compelled to skim over the pages in short order. I only had one tiny problem with both stories. I wanted much more story to be told. They both ended entirely too quickly!
