"A wonderful addition to the djinn series!"
I've been waiting for another djinn book from
Kathleen Nance for simply ages. Believe me, this one has
been well worth the wait. This is the story of Jack Montgomery. We met Jack's
sister Isis in MORE THAN MAGIC. It was when Jack met
Darius, ruler of Kaf and Darius put a spell on him to make
him feel helpless that Jack decided that he hated anything
to do with magic. He's worked for years to form a weapon to
negate all magic and now all he has to do is see if it
works. Leila has seen Jack's picture in his sister's
office on Kaf and decides that she will seduce him for a
child. When she tries to cast a spell to allure him, it
seems to be working but then his attention is focused on
something else and the allure is lost. Leila is about to
give up but when she leaves a man follows her and it's up
to Jack to rescue her. When Jack kisses Leila he realizes
she's no human but a djinn and when she transports them to
Kaf, Jack turns on his charm and it not only negates her
magic but it also takes it away. Now they are stranded on
Kaf. Jack is very uncomfortable but he figures if he can
just make it to Isis, he can get back home. Then something happens between Leila and Jack the
longer they are in each other's company. They fight their
attraction but Leila really wants a child. As they travel
together, they become closer and closer. Will Jack ever be
able to trust Leila and can Leila love a man who hates ma-
at or magic? This book was enchanting, enthralling and
intriguing. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Kaf. While
different from Earth, there were many similarities also. I
could almost believe there really is a Kaf somewhere in the
universe. I am an avid fan of Kathleen Nance and eagerly
look forward to her next book!

SummaryThe woman in the New Orleans bar was pure sin and sex in
a
stunning package. And for once, hardworking,
practical-minded Jack Montgomery lets himself be charmed.
He
had sworn he would not let magic hold sway over him again,
yet passion was another matter. But no sooner had he taken
the beautiful stranger in his arms than he discovered his
mistake: Lovely, dark-haired Leila was far more than
exotic;
she was a genie. When he kissed her, heat lightning flashed
around them, the air sparkled with color and a whirlwind
transported him out of this world. Literally. Trapped with
Leila in the land of the Djinn, Jack would have to choose
between the principles of science that had defined his life
and something dangerously unpredictable and unsettling...
