"A real page turning mystery. Be prepared to stay up all night with this one."
Travis Johnston is a scientist, an expert in
Superconducting Super Collider - Particle physics. He has
been recruited to work in secret on a new Collider project
in the Middle East. Father Alex Forker is an investigator for the Vatican. He
is in Boston to investigate the claim that the Virgin Mary
possesses a woman. Jonesy, a little girl in a coma, is said to have powers
that heal. People are having dreams of her, telling them
they must go see her. Elizabeth Bowman is the woman who the Virgin Mary is
supposed to possess every Thursday night at 7:15pm. Susan Carter is a 3rd year student in a PhD program in the
department of epidemiology at Roswell Park, a
comprehensive cancer center. She is working on her research
thesis. Jim Wheaton, another scientist at Roswell Park in the
epidemiology department, is helping Susan with her
research thesis. Joseph Stanton, a reporter for CNN stationed in the Middle
East, teams up with Susan Carter and Jim Wheaton to find
the answer to a secret city in the desert, where most of
the cancer patients Susan is studying for her thesis were
at one time employed. The combining of this cast of characters by the master
hand of A. J. Russo makes for one of the best mysteries I
have read in a long while. The science in this book is
explained in the simplest terms and gives the reader a
rare insight into the world of Particle Physics. There is
a secret project in the Middle East desert, a medical
mystery and a religion mystery all combined to make this a
real page-turner. Mr. Russo has tied all this together in
one incredible mystery. Be prepared to stay up most of the night reading this book. I
started it in the morning and it kept me with it until
late that night. I couldn't put it down.
I look forward to reading more of this up and coming
mystery writer.
