"Journey into to a fantasy island in a Regency novel!"
Kassandra the Princess of Akora has finally managed to
leave her life of luxury on the mysterious island and the
city of Ilius to be received in the lap of luxury in
London. It happens to be a pregnant lap of her sister-in-
law, Joanna, wife of Alex, Prince of Akora. Aptly named after the Greek prophetess, Kassandra has
already seen her soon-to-be-born niece, the joyful Amelia.
She has also seen with her eyes the Lord of Hawkforte,
Royce, also known as Joanna's brother. He and Alex take
their daily exercises in fencing while Joanna and Kassandra
enjoy local London lemon drops and candied nuts. However, London's prime minister becomes the victim of
social unrest and soon naps underground. The eminence
grise plan to invade the fortress island of Akora. Kassandra feels the vinculum that tugs her back home to
help fight back. Alex decides that Joanna should also sail
to Akora until matters at home calm down. And luckily for
Kassandra a certain Lord of Hawkforte accompanies his
sister and charming new friend. KINGDOM OF MOONLIGHT has a certain maturity in its
language and syntax. This book is an in-depth study of a
beautiful (even though fictional) culture that has
preserved its way of life, and not to mention invented the
shower!!!!
