REVIEW

"A thoroughly modern vampire novella!"

This modern vampire tale was absolutely fabulous and utterly delightful. I read it in no time at all and just wished it were a longer story!

Roger Wannamaker or Brakos, as his vampire family calls him is half mortal and half vampire. He's disdained his mortal side for years. He's a web page designer who works at night. One of his big clients sends him an email one evening asking him to meet him in a private chat room to discuss business. Roger hates chat rooms in general but agrees. While he's waiting for his client to show up, he scans the other chat rooms available. He comes across a very interesting one called Transylvania. What is that all about?

Before he knows it, Roger peeks inside the chat room and meets some interesting characters but when Fyre, Queen of the Gypsies makes her entrance, it's as if no one else is there. Roger is absolutely entranced. When Fyre reads her Tarot cards, she finds out that Roger is her soul mate. This is the start of a whirlwind on-line courtship. Roger knows that nothing can actually come of it but he enjoys it while he can.

Susan McNulty, otherwise known as Fyre, is fascinated with Roger and wants to meet him in person but with her being in California and him being in New York, there's a slim chance of that ever happening. Then Susan is given a chance to come to New York. What will Roger do now? Will he agree to meet with her?

This story left me wanting more. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would have loved so much more to this enchanting story. I highly recommend this and all of Linda Bleser's books. I predict this author is going places!
