REVIEW

"This one is all about control!"

Liza Sanguinetti has decided to take a sabbatical from her life after she watched her very best friend in the whole world fall in love and get married. Liza was one of those 'love them and leave them' kind of girls, out for her own pleasure and she always had to be in control. Seeing her best friend happy and settled did something to Liza though and she found that her life was not as fulfilling as it used to be.

She decided to take a little road trip to put things back into perspective when she came across the quaint little western town of Canyon Springs, New Mexico. The first thing she comes across is a hunk of a man in a tree trying to talk an exotic bird into coming out of the tree. This is her first meeting with Sheriff Dylan Jackson. Then along comes Dylan's mother and Dylan's best friend Tucker who works for the Fire Department. Dylan's mother mistakenly assumes that Liza is Dylan's girlfriend from Las Vegas. Liza is so intrigued by the whole scenario that she decides to stay for a few days. Dylan is just intrigued with Liza and wants to get to know her just a little bit better.

Put together a witness from Dylan's old days of working vice in Las Vegas who will only talk to Dylan, a fire at the motel where the witness is supposed to be staying and a whole bunch of other little comedies of errors and you get one hot, sexy book all about control. I was quite intrigued with Dylan and Liza and couldn't wait to see how this story would end. I'm happy to report that all's well that ends well!
