"Oh those yummy Bounty Hunters!"

Austin Taggart is a bounty hunter extraordinaire. But he never counted on Francesca Maxwell aka Maxie. Maxie is a skip who is wanted for embezzlement. She didn't do it and is on the lam until the liquor license comes through for her and her sister's nightclub. A very good friend is also trying to electronically trace who used Maxie's personal code in order to embezzle this cool million and then frame her for the deed!

What Maxie doesn't count on is Austin being so persistent. She doesn't know that he needs that money to get his talented artist sister to Paris. Austin doesn't know that Maxie thinks family is the most important thing in the world. Austin has never had a bounty get away from him- but Maxie isn't just anybody! If Maxie can just hold Austin off for a few days, she'll be in the clear.

Maxie and Austin don't count on their major attraction for each other. Still that can't stop each of them from completing their own agenda- until things start heating up between them. Now the question is who gets their way?

This story quickly drew me in. I have a thing for bounty hunter stories and this one was a good one. Austin was one hot stud and Maxie was a smart cookie! What I really liked is even though Karen Anders made Austin seem like one stubborn man, he was really a softie when it came to Maxie. The secondary characters were a hoot from Star, the motorcycle mama bar owner to Handlebar and Spider, the motorcycle dudes. There wasn't anything about this story I didn't like! I look forward to reading more from Karen Anders!
