"A kicky murder mystery!"

Samantha Shaw kept her head in the sand for much too long. When her sleazy two-bit husband, Trent died of a freak food allergy, she decided that she was tired of being the perfect housewife and mother. She bought HEARTMATES, a dating service; in fact the very same dating service where she met her husband. Little did Sam know that Trent had a whole 'nother secret life.

Sam finds out about Trent's secret life when she is followed and attacked by a man who tells her he wants his share of the money. Sam has absolutely no idea what this guy is talking about. Suddenly it seems like she's in the middle of every crime scene whether it's a murder, a beating or what. She decides she's had enough and she's going to get to the bottom of this one way or another or die trying, especially when it means keeping her two sons safe.

It helps that she's befriended ex-cop Gabe but is he safe and why is she so attracted to him? This can't be good or can it?

This murder mystery is a must read. I have never been so entertained. I never knew what was going to happen next. Sam and her various and sundry friends went from one scrape to another. I thoroughly enjoyed Jennifer Apodaca's first murder mystery and I certainly hope I'll see Samantha Shaw again! I have a feeling she has more mysteries to solve!
