"This third book in The Shannon Sisters trilogy ties up all the loose ends!"
This third book in The Shannon Sister's trilogy is
about Maureen and her twelve-year-old daughter Holly.
Things aren't going well for Maureen and Holly. For one,
they have slowly grown apart. It's gotten even worse now
that Rod, Maureen's husband and Holly's dad died in a
senseless accident while he was mountain climbing. Maureen feels guilty that maybe she just didn't
love Rod enough and Holly senses that. Finally Maureen is
given a chance to invest in Jake Hartman's heli-skiing
business. Not only will this give her more time with Holly
but it gives them a chance to move back to Canmore to be
near Maureen's sisters and Poppy. What Maureen doesn't know is that her sisters
Cathleen and Kelly have something up their sleeves. They
decide that what Maureen needs is a man in her life and
Jake Hartman is the perfect man. Jake is Cathleen's
husband Dylan's cousin. They do everything they can to
throw Jake and Maureen together. The problem is that Jake
and Maureen both have issues they need to settle in their
lives before they can even begin to make a relationship
work. Therein lies the challenge. Then of course there's
Holly. This book had me avidly reading not only to see how
the trilogy would end but it also tied up all the loose
ends that were woven through the whole series. I highly
recommend all three books in this intriguing series!
There's murder, mayhem, action, adventure and most of all
romance. All the things I love in a book. Kudos to C. J.
Carmichael for this series!

SummaryHe made her an offer she couldn't refuse--but did she
even try!
Jake Hartman's heli-skiing operation in the
foothills of the Canadian Rockies has been hugely
successful. But because of the major outlays he now wants
to make, he needs a capital infusion. A bank loan is a
nonissue--Jake's not keen on debt. But a silent partner
would do the trick.
Widowed Maureen Shannon, eldest of the Shannon
sisters, has just moved back to the sleepy town of Canmore,
hoping that slow-paced living will help mend her
deteriorating relationship with her twelve-year-old
daughter. Jake's proposal sounds good.
But then Jake makes Maureen a second offer--a lasting
proposal she's much more reluctant to accept...
