"Anita Blake is back!"
Yeah Team, Anita Blake is back and kicking ass! 486 pages
of action. Edward is back and so is his sidekick Olaf
and Bernardo. They all meet up in Las Vegas to hunt one
of the oldest serial killers in the Vampire world. He
sent Anita a human head in a box as her invitation to come
play a game of life and death in Sin City. Anita not only
has to hunt one dangerous serial killer, she has to watch
her back around Olaf, he is a true sociopath and gets off
on pain and killing. Edward and Bernardo will do what
they can to help, but it's really up to Anita to keep
things in line. To top it all off the local
SWAT team is made up of paranormals and Anita's reputation
has proceeded her. They don't like, or trust, her. The
Master of the city and his wife are another problem, Anita
has to make nice with them as she is the human servant of
a powerful master, so protocol must be handled. Then
there is the troublesome fact that Anita's tigers are very
close to the surface of her skin and she is having trouble
controlling them. This is one great book and restores Anita to the great
vampire executioner she was when we first met her. I
haven't enjoyed a Anita Blake book so much in a
long time. All fans of the early
books will love this one. Thank you Ms. Hamilton for a
wonderful read.

SummaryA proven series with a hot new look. The #1 bestselling
author returns with her most anticipated novel yet.
When a vampire serial killer sends Anita Blake a grisly
souvenir from Las Vegas, she has to warn Sin City's local
authorities what they're dealing with. Only it's worse than
she thought. Ten officers and one executioner have been
slain—paranormal style. Anita heads to Vegas, where's
she's joined by three other federal marshals, including the
ruthless Edward. It's a good thing he always has her back,
because when she gets close to the bodies, Anita senses
"tiger" too strongly to ignore it. The weretigers are very
powerful in Las Vegas, which means the odds of her rubbing
someone important the wrong way just got a lot higher.
