"The sting of The Scorpion is nearly negated..."
With money being no object and the latest technology
at his fingertips, Jonathan Grave, alias the Scorpion, and
his "associates" have risen to the top of the "retrieval"
business. A freelance specialist in covert rescues that
quietly reunite kidnap victims with their families and
resolve ticklish hostage situations, Jonathan works for
clients in and out of the government. Usually he flies so far beneath the radar that no
one realizes he has been involved in a rescue, but that
isn't the case in this adventure. Although he successfully
snatches a college student from his abductors, three of
the
bad guys are killed in the process. Not only does that blow the "undercover" aspect of the
job, but now the Scorpion has a number of individuals
looking for him with the intent of making sure he
never "stings" anyone again. The group includes a very
savvy law enforcement officer who hasn't been let in on
the
secret yet that Jonathan is actually one of the good guys.
That situation can be remedied! Unfortunately, there's someone else interested in
finding Jonathan, someone as rich, smart and powerful as
the Scorpion is and equally as lethal.
Well matched, Jonathan deals with a cunning adversary who
will torture and kill if necessary to achieve his ends. In
this respect the two have a lot in common! If you enjoy a take no prisoners, in your face
action novel with plenty of fancy gadgets and a healthy
dose of violence, this is a novel you will absolutely race
through. Not even the irritatingly small print this 400
page plus novel features will slow you down, although it
may create a little eye strain!
