"Bewitching adult fairy tale romance"
The Wishmakers network knows they are in trouble if they
fail to grant Eileen Pringle her one wish. Good witch
Mirabelle Saintly realizes failure means oblivion for her
and her peers, as they will become as extinct as what has
occurred to some of their fabled brethren. Eileen's wish
seems simple enough: to find the true love of her life.
However, the complication is that Eileen believes that her
boss, childhood friend Brock Van Buren, is the one for her
even if he desires her stepsister. Eileen learns that
hackers broke into their company's computer system. The
firm hires Daniel Collins, who is actually an undercover
Fed named Daniel Manatucci, to work with Eileen. He quickly
realizes that Eileen had nothing to do with the hacking and
asks her to help him uncover the identities of the
criminals and prove Brock is innocent. Anything for Brock,
Eileen agrees. Daniel falls in love with Eileen, but
realizes she pines for Brock. Eileen struggles with her
feelings for Daniel after believing she loved Brock.
Mirabelle knows she needs to pull off a miracle to assist
love on its natural cause. Rebecca Anderson provides a bewitching adult fairy tale
romance. The Good Witches network is clever and adds a
whimsical feel to a warm tale. The key human characters
share wants and desires that seem will never be fulfilled
though readers will cast a wish to the Wishmakers to see
that it happens. Rebecca Anderson writes a playful and
wonderful novel that will leave everyone casting wishes. Harriet Klausner / December, 2000
