"Move over Indiana Jones; here comes Ethan Gage!"
Gambler and adventurer Ethan Gage continues his adventures
in the eastern Mediterranean as the search for the fabled
and very elusive Book of Thoth continues. Said to be a
volume Moses took out of Egypt when he fled to Jerusalem,
the ancient scroll is believed to hold the secret to some
awesome powers. A protege of Ben Franklin, the American has worked
for both Napoleon and the British. Although he has been
known to switch sides when it is to his advantage, Gage is
currently working with the British against Bonaparte. As with the first Gage adventure, "Napoleon's
Pyramids", there's plenty of intrigue , a few daring
escapes and a handful of sinister adversaries to keep
Ethan
more than occupied. Oh yes, there's also another comely
young woman in this story that catches his eye too! Played out against actual historical events and
including some real military personages, William
Dietrich's
latest Ethan Gage novel is as engaging and entertaining as
its predecessor. If you find yourself re-reading the
Indiana Jones stories, rejoice; you won't have to do so
anymore. Ethan Gage is definitely Jones' equal!
