Clare Chandler has fled her ex-husband's country, Abu
Fujarah. She is back in the USA and on the run with her
two year old son. Clare's ex-husband, Ramzi, wants his son
back but, she would never part with her child. However,
Ramzi will use any force necessary to make Clare give him
up. Josh Ryan's Ranger military training comes in handy when
he rescues Clare from Ramzi's henchmen. He plans to help
Clare get where she is headed and then go about his
business. However, circumstances prevent this
and Josh finds that he feels responsible for this stranger
and her child. He takes them to his family's
ranch where he enlists the help of his siblings.
Josh,along with his brother and sister, aide Clare in
carrying out a dangerous plan. As Josh and Clare begin to
solve her problems they learn more about each
other. Clare finds out that Josh and his family harbor a
secret, one that contains special paranormal gifts.
Although,they are both falling in love, Josh is resistant
because of his heritage. As the story unfolds readers will get a taste of
several different genres. SAFE WITH A STRANGER is the
first book in a new series by Linda Conrad. This is one
author who is consistent with excellent
characters and edge-of-your-seat situations. She has a way
with the pen and it always shows.
