After a romantic week together, Sam McKade leaves Annie O'Toole to complete his mission. But the Navy SEAL is injured saving a runaway school bus filled with children; his daring rescue caught on national TV. Not only is Sam injured, he has amnesia. The Admiral that Sam reports to knows someone has been trying to kill McKade. He needs to protect Sam until his mind can unlock the secret someone is willing to kill for. The Admiral turns to Annie O'Toole for help.

Annie is, not only the owner and overworked manager of Summerwind, an upscale resort, she is a physical therapist. Willing to do anything to help Sam, Annie opens her home to both Sam and his government assigned bodyguard, Izzy. In love with Sam, Annie tries to heal the man she loves even though he doesn't remember her. Trying to juggle the demands of her employees, and a stubborn patient, Annie is beset with continual problems and a nasty, sexually harassing client.

Sam finds his strong attraction to Annie and his need to protect her confusing. And he knows his mind has locked away an important secret that could endanger her life. But he realizes he is in love with her and sets upon out to win her heart. Torn between her desire and love for Sam and the reality of his profession, Annie vacillates.

Christina Skye has an enjoyable writing style. If you want a story about an alpha male Navy SEAL and an overworked resort owner, MY SPY is for you.

Summary

Annie O'Toole has a past.... The last time Annie saw Sam, they were lying in each other's arms beneath a canopy of stars. Now Annie paces a secluded airfield at midnight, awaiting the arrival of an unmarked Navy helicopter. Her assignment: Get this Navy SEAL back into fighting form pronto--and keep his identity a secret. But who's going to protect her from a man who looks at her as if she were a stranger and who doesn't remember the one night she'll never forget? His name is Sam McKade. Six foot four inches of tough, trained professional, Sam risked his life in an act of rare courage, saving a busload of schoolchildren from certain death. But becoming America's newest media hero can be dangerous for a man with an undercover past. Sam could do a lot worse than this secluded beach resort. Ditto the sexy therapist who seems maddeningly familiar--if he only knew where or when. But he's about to find out--as a dangerous enemy surfaces out of his shadowed past, leaving a trail of bodies right to Annie's door. Now the rugged SEAL who doesn't believe in love or commitment is about to risk everything...because for Sam McKade, protecting this woman, this extraordinary woman, has become the most important mission of his life....
