REVIEW

"This doctor is really desirable!"

Dr Nick Kempner regrets that he and Michelle Lewis, San Antonio Memorial's publicist, didn't exactly get off to a good start when they first met at Michelle's sister's wedding. Maybe he shouldn't have come on to her and called her 'princess' but then again she did call him 'a toad in a tux'. Now that they are working together he wouldn't mind getting to know this beautiful woman better.

Nick really has the knack of rubbing Michelle the wrong way and she has had enough of cocky, self-important doctors hitting on her. Just because Nick was handsome and charming was no reason to let her guard down. But she couldn't help being attracted to him.

Every time their paths cross, Nick and Michelle feel the attraction pull them together. When Michelle collapses from overwork and exhaustion from worrying about her pregnant, asthmatic sister, Brooke, Nick suggests they go to his cabin for the weekend so that she can rest and they can take time to get to know each other and explore this mutual attraction. Michelle decides that she can control her emotions and at the same time have some fun with Nick. While at the cabin Michelle and Nick get to know each other and themselves better. Nick comes to know that he wants something more with Michelle. Now all he has to do is convince her to give it a try.

I am fast becoming a fan of Kristi Gold's work. DR DESIRABLE was a good, pleasant story filled with Nick's amusing double entendre and his genuine regard for Michelle. This was not a guy who feigned sensitivity just to get a woman into bed. He honestly liked her and was right there to offer emotional support when she needed it. Michelle was wary, but not annoyingly so. As the healthy sibling growing up with an ill sister, she had a lot of guilt to deal with. She had also had some bad relationships and she struggled with her inability to just let go and trust Nick enough to fall in love. I was happy for them both when they got their happy ending!

Summary

A most desirable doctor who's too hard to handle, too hard to resist, and much too easy to love.

Michelle Lewis has had her fill of smooth-talking healers. But Dr. Nick Kempner was hard to resist... especially when the sexy single father invited her to his scenic lakefront home for some much-needed R&R.

Beneath the PR guru's all-work-no-play exterior was a caring, passionate woman Nick was determined to get to know... much better. Michelle was sending his hormones--and his heart--into overdrive, and he had the perfect cure. She'd just have to trust him. Doctor's orders.
