"Awesome!"
How would you feel if you found out you were the only
survivor of a horrible nuclear accident where the entire
town of people had died? Why were you the only survivor
and now why is somebody trying to kill you? That's just
what happened to Mia Kearney. Talk about having a bad
day.... Now Mia is being held in a hospital against her will
presumably for her own good but all she wants to do is
escape so she can find answers on her own because the
answers she is getting are not the ones she wants to hear.
So she bides her time and finally makes her move. The
problem is the only weapon she has is a chair leg and she
has to use it on Homeland Security officer, Nick Price,
which not only gives him a horrendous headache but really
makes him angry. Still Nick thinks something else is going on here as
things aren't adding up and he thinks Mia is the key so he
decides to try to figure out where she will go. He sure
doesn't count on somebody trying to take her out. So they
decide to run until they can figure out exactly what is
going on. This book, like all of Dee Davis' books, was a one sitting
read for me. I always have a hard time trying to put down
one of her books once I start reading it. The suspense has
me gasping in surprise and the romance is as sweet and as
juicy as a summer peach. I can't recommend this one enough!
