Bump in the Night

REVIEW

"Things that go bump in the Night"

DEAD OF NIGHT is the new Halloween themed anthology, features Nora Robert writing as JD Robb, in Eternity In Death when a young socialite is found dead and drained of her blood, Eve, Roarke and Peabody journey into the world of underground clubs and come into contact with evil. I just love the In Death series and this is a great way to spend your Halloween while passing out candy to the kids. I have to admit some of my favorite moments are the bantering between Eve Dallas and her partner Peabody.

But when you are finished with ETERNITY IN DEATH, don't put down the book cause you have got to read TIMELESS by Ruth Ryan Langan. Laurel is finally taking the trip she has wanted to all her life, to explore Scotland and the castles. When she is pulled into a tapestry she comes in contact with Conal MacLennen also known as Con the Almighty. Conal believes he has found his wife who was believed to have fallen from a tower. How is Laurel going to convince him she is not his beloved wife? The more she is around him the more she is reluctant. TIMELESS was quite simply awesome. Ms Langan does an awesome job of portraying the dilemma Laurel finds herself in, she is very attracted to Con and he is very hard to resist. If this is your first time reading Ruth Ryan Langan, it will have you running to the store for her backlist. In Mary Kay McComas' novella, a wife gets a surprise magic carpet ride when she makes a wish on her aunt's carpet and finds that there is a reason why there is the saying "be careful what you wish for" Mary Blayney's Amy and the Earl's Amazing Adventure, Amy an American citizen on vacation in England travels back in time with Simon West the brother of the Earl of Weston to try and solve a mystery surrounding a magical coin and a portrait.

Whether you are a fan of time travels, or things that are evil, DEAD OF NIGHT has something for everyone. I know that I cannot wait for the next anthology featuring these talented authors.
