REVIEW

"An excellent story!"

Even though this is the last of a series from Millionaire of the Month, this was a totally stand alone book. There were references to the other stories but this only teased me with the desire to want to find the other books so I could read the other Samurai stories!

This story is about Jack Howlington III and Meredith Palmer. Meri was a genius who had been in college from the time she was 12 until the time she was 17. She had already gotten three masters and was on her way to getting her Ph.D. She knew she was a freak but she had her brother Hunter and his best friend Jack to help take care of her. Then one evening when she was particularly depressed, Jack came to visit her in her dorm room and she stupidly tried to seduce him. Jack ran away as fast as he could, not because he wasn't attracted to Meri but because he had always promised Hunter that he would help take care of Meri.

Now Jack and Meri are all grown up and Meri's brother Hunter had one dying request. Each of his best friends had to spend a month at Hunter's Landing in order for Hunter's last dying wish to come to fruition. Unbeknownst to Jack and Meri, Hunter always felt they should be together. Meri just wants revenge on Jack from rejecting her all those years ago. So who will win in this ongoing saga?

Wow, what a great ending to what sounds like a wonderful series! As much as I enjoyed this book, I will be looking for the others in this series! Susan Mallery did complete justice to this series with this extraordinary story! My only regret was that I read this story in a matter of hours. My defense is because it was so good!
