"The third installment of Kate Conner's story!"
Kate Crow Conner is back in the third installment of her
demon hunting/wife/mother life. Now Kate also has to deal
with the fact that Allie now knows that she is a demon
hunter and wants to help Kate. Kate just can't bear to
think that her Allie would be in any kind of danger so she
talks Cutter into stepping up their sparring a little
more. Cutter tells Kate he has found her someone to spar with
and she can't believe it when she sees David Long, the
high school chemistry teacher there. The weird thing is
David calls her by the pet name her first husband Eric did
and he has some of the same fighting moves that Eric did.
What is up with that? Eric was mugged and murdered. When Kate starts getting strange notes from Eric five
years after his death, she knows she has to figure things
out and quickly. She can't believe this is just a random
thing. Then she finds out that Eric might have been
murdered for what he knew. Kate can't believe Eric was
keeping secrets from her. All the while Kate still has to
keep her demon hunting a secret from her present husband,
Stuart. This is getting harder and harder to do. Kate
only knows she has to keep doing what she's doing to keep
her town and her family safe. This series just keeps getting better and better. Julie
Kenner knows how to bait a hook and then leave you
floundering knowing that you will haunt the book stores
until the next installment is published. My interest is
above and beyond peaked at Kate's story and I will be
quite impatient for more of this story!
