"Dani Buchanan's story"
Dani Buchanan is devastated to find that she really isn't
a Buchanan. Her mother had an affair with Senator Mark
Canfield who is now about to announce that he is running
for president. All Dani wants to do is meet her real
father. She doesn't realize that she has to bulldoze
through Mark's adopted son, Alex first. Alex is a lawyer but also works closely with his father on
his presidential campaign. He can't believe Dani actually
thinks she is Mark's daughter. What does she really want
and how can Alex head her off before real trouble starts? When Mark sees Dani and finds out who her mother was, he
immediately knows that she is his child. He knows that
there needs to be damage control but also knows that Alex
can work it out. He also wants Dani to come home with him
to meet the rest of his special family and his wonderful
wife, Katherine. Dani has trepidations about the whole family thing as she
has a family already. Her three brothers and their
wives/girlfriends are as much family as she needs. She
just felt that she needed to connect to her real father
but she doesn't really feel a connection, per se. Isn't
there more to it than that? What is she missing? I read this book in three hours. I tuned everyone and
everything out just to finish reading this book. It was
that good. I just had to know how it would end. Now I
must go back and pick up Dani's brother's stories so I can
catch up on the entire Buchanan clan. I highly recommend
this book!

SummaryAfter three romantic flame-outs in a year and a restaurant
career going nowhere, Dani Buchanan needs a fresh start. She
goes looking for her biological father, but never expects to
find a senator running for president. As his long-lost 'love
child,' Dani could seriously derail the
electionsomething his handsome campaign manager Alex
Canfield isn't going to let happen. Dani isn't about to let
Alex run her life, no matter how tempting she finds
himand Alex isn't going to allow Dani to melt his
cynicism, no matter how close he has to get. The last thing
either of them wants is love, especially with scandals
brewing and family trouble on the way. But Dani and Alex are
forced to trust each other, and when trust turns to passion,
the potential for disaster is only a tabloid scandal away.
