REVIEW

"The first of a trilogy about psychic sisters"

This is the first of a trilogy about triplet psychic sisters who are not only bound to each other but are bound equally to their extremely psychic mother. The first book is about the youngest by six minutes, Claire. Claire is an empath and has gone through several traumatic times in her life, the worst being when she witnessed a bank robbery and was taken to the hospital where she lost her unborn daughter. The first trauma was when her mother was on a case and she and her sisters were taken away from their home and put into an institution where they were poked and prodded in order to try to figure out exactly what made them tick.

Now Claire lives in Montana in an isolated part of the state. She is devastated when her neighbor dies and leaves her home to her nephew, Neil Olafson. What Claire doesn't know is Neil will invade her life in more ways than one. But Claire isn't sure she or Neil are ready for each other especially when he finds out about her special gift and her equally special family. Claire can't help it if the bond is so strong that she knows who is on the phone before it even rings.

When Claire is attacked in her home, Neil decides that he must become her protector and when Claire tells him she knows about his missing son, Sammy, Neil figures his aunt just told Claire his whole life history. As Claire and Neil become closer, can each accept the other for what they are?

I simply could not read this book fast enough. Psychics have always fascinated me so this story was exactly the kind of thing I thoroughly enjoy reading. I'm not sure I'm patient enough to wait for the second book in the trilogy, Tempest's story. It cannot be published quickly enough for me!

Summary

Claire, Tempest, and Leona: triplets blessed—or cursed—each with a special extra sense that they would deny, given the chance . . .

Claire, the youngest, finds solitude and escape in rural Montana. The descendant of an ancient Celtic seer, she struggles to conceal her unsettling power to sense what others feel—the good and the evil, the pain and the joy.

When her peace is shattered by her new neighbor, Neil Olafson, Claire's shielded emotions start simmering. He's the opposite of everything she's ever wanted, a man who ignites her latent sensuality. And while her eerie powers have frightened others away, Neil isn't running. And when Claire comes face-to-face with danger, he becomes her protector—as well as her lover.

Now, Claire and Neil must confront the past and save the life of a young innocent. But there is a killer lurking in the background who wants them both dead before they can unravel his dirty secrets. And he's been very busy . . .
