REVIEW

"Suspense and romance by one of the best!"

For the past five years, Anna Corbett, deaf from birth, has lived a quiet, safe life with her son and father in law on the ranch where her deceased husband grew up. Little does she expect her life to turn upside down with the arrival of Jack Sawyer, a drifter just passin' through. She can't hear his voice but she can hear her heart when he's around!

Jack becomes a hired hand with the intention of leaving once Carl Herbold a psychopathic murderer is once again apprehended and behind bars after his murderous escape from prison. Jack, a stranger to the Corbett's, is sure Carl will return to exact revenge on Carl's step father, Delray Corbett whom he blames for all the events leading to his life of crime and murder and Jack is determined to stop him. He doesn't count on finding a love stronger than anything he's ever known in his life at the touch of a beautiful deaf woman and her precocious 5 year old son!

Ms. Brown has created strong characters in this suspense filled romance from the hero and heroine to the "old" sheriff, to the five year old child who is a delight throughout the book. The storyline and plot carry the reader into spine tingling suspense as well as a heart warming love story that will stick with the reader long after the last page has ended! Another superb read by talented story teller, Sandra Brown!
