REVIEW

"Suspense and romance at it's best!"

Anne Atwood, wife of dynamic Senator Parker Atwood finds herself widowed after 20 years of what the world considered a storybook marriage. After receiving a threatening note at the funeral of her husband, Anne's life suddenly begins to unravel as the sins and secrets of the Senators past unfold. Somehow, Anne must find a way to protect the adopted daughter she loves with all her heart from a reality she never dreamed possible and the rebellion of a teenager who idolized her father. Ian McKay has been a life-long friend of Anne's even though her deceased husband had demanded she have nothing to do with the reporter for fear he would "tell all" and expose his shoddy hidden secrets and he had many. Ian is very good at ferreting out information anyone else would never find and may be Anne's only help in finding and fighting the blackmailer trying to kill her and her daughter!

From Houston to Washington D.C. the suspense and drama keep the reader on edge just as much as the rebirth of love between Anne and Ian will delight! This new to me author just kept me wanting to reach the conclusion while at the same time not wanting the book to end! Well written, well plotted and so worth the price of the book!
