"She's back with a vengence!!"
I have missed Catherine Spangler's books and am thrilled
to discover that she is starting a new series that looks
as fascinating as her SHIELDER series. This book focuses on a race of people who
descending from the original Atlantians of legend. They
are called the Sentinels and they reincarnate into the
body of a human in order to track down and destroy the
followers of Belian, an evil being who followed the dark
arts. They also need a conductor to focus their power who
is generally a human with heightened psychic powers. With that being said, this book tells us the story of Kara
Cantrell, her son Alex and Damien Morgan. Kara is a doctor
who moved to the little town of Zorro in order to run away
from the memory of her husband's murder and her son's
latent powers that are starting to show themselves. She
feels that if she can just ignore them, they will go
away. What she doesn't know is that a Belian is in town
and can sniff out any form of power that Alex may
inadvertently project. Now Damien has come to Zorro to track down said Belian and
destroy it before it further causes havoc. He also can't
believe that he discovers a Sentinel albeit young in this
small town. He either needs to try to train Alex or find
someone who will but he has to convince his mother, Kara
first and she is extremely resistant. Oh my goodness, what a book. I have missed the awesome
Catherine Spangler's books and am so glad that she's come
back into the writing world with a vengeance. I cannot
wait for the next Atlantian book!!
