"Another gem of a book in Robin D. Owen's crown!"
You know a book is good when your skin goosebumps and your
scalp tingles immediately after reading the final page.
This is one such book. I believe Robin D. Owens is a
master magician in disguise as a writer. I know she has
the power to mesmerize me with her stories to the point
that I can hardly wait until she has another book written. Callista (Calli) Torcher doesn't see eye to eye with her
dad and never had. Finally as a last straw her father
informs her since her fall and subsequent injury he knew
she couldn't ride horses again so he sold her prized
horse. She is devastated especially since she has been the
one to keep the Rocking Bar T in business with her rodeo
prizes all these years. She runs to her special place and
is amazed when she leans back against the crystal mountain
and keeps going. What is happening? Calli is the next Exotique summoned to help with the Dark.
She is well versed in Equine and the Volarians have chosen
her to be their Exotique. Now she has to learn a whole new
way of life and she also has to choose a partner. Marrec
Gardpoint is a lowly Chevalier and knows that he doesn't
have a chance with Calli but still he'd like to try. It
would mean a whole different life for him. This book is yet another gem in the crown of all that is
Robin D. Owens. I keep telling myself that she just can't
get much better but with every book she amazes and
surprises me! I eagerly await another gem from Robin D.
Owens.

SummaryIf horses could fly...then Calli Torcher might ride again.
But a devastating accident left her in such pain she thought
the chimes and chanting in her ears were a
hallucination...until she found herself transported to
another world, and met the Lladranans who had Summoned her.
Lladrana was a parallel, magical earth filled with exotic
creatures, noble humans and enchantmentsall threatened
by an encroaching evil.
And when the mighty volarans stopped obeying the Chevaliers,
the flying horses' unexpected rebellion had thrown Lladrana
into an uproar. In desperation, the sorcerers had sought
help from afarand gotten Calli.
If she could fulfill this mission, perhaps she would also
finally find all she had longed fora mate, a home, a
family. But against this great darkness, she had no battle
experience, no strategy plans. She had only a bond with
horses....
