"A Winner!"
Shana Quinn may be too short for the police force but
she's
well trained and has enough drive and motivation. She also
wants to get a job on her own merit and not on the good
word of her father, a retired policeman. She applies for a
job at Renault Technologies, Security division and is
hired
but, it's not long before she makes a mistake and is
consigned to door duty and then a break falls her way.
Royce Renault's niece has been kidnapped and held for
ransom. She volunteers to find the little girl before she
is killed and Royce lets her take the case. This should be
a good thing but instead it puts her in direct contact
with
Royce who insists on calling himself her boyfriend as a
cover. Will Shana be able to find the girl, keep her
heart,
and stay one step ahead of the bad guys or will everything
fall apart and love finally get a hold of her? Ms. Hart has penned a wonderful romantic suspense
read...high in octane, and wonderfully romantic. Shana and
Royce are opposites and this makes for a great read with
laugh out loud moments as well as deep sighs at the
romance, and nail biting edge of your seat reading. Shana
is a strong female and yet despite the fact she can kick
backside and take names there is something totally
feminine
and likable about her. Her strength is an endearing trait
and her spitfire attitude will draw readers in. Royce is a
charming hero, rich, protective, and there when you need
him. He allows Shana to shine and be who she is even
though
he wants to save her from himself at times. In other words
a perfect hero. Ms. Hart knows how to combined elements
and
introduce different threads in her storylines without
cheating any of them or over doing it either. This is a
fast entertaining read, one that I highly recommend as
well
as the author.
