"A Wonderful Beginning"
The season is in full swing when three sisters arrive from
the country with a secret that two want to solve and one
is
willing to ignore regarding their paternity. Mary Royle
thinks that the secrets that they have found are not worth
the effort to solve and besides she has set her sights on
the man who will be her husband. He is a war hero who is
handsome and perfect for her. But when her attempt to
point out her husband to be to her sisters including
dressing up as statues and sneaking into a party she runs
into the Black Duke, who is Duke of Blackstone, a rogue
and
a heartbreaker. Rogan sets her teeth on edge and can kiss
like no ones business and totally wrong for her. So how
does she end up married to him instead of his brother and
why does that seem to fit so well? Ms. Caskie is off to a winning start with this series.
This title is full of humor, heart, and romance widely
populated by very endearing characters. Rogan and Mary
are
well matched protagonists and their romance is at turns
tender, funny, and romantic. Romance where you least
expect it is always a fun storyline. Rogan is a complex
hero and his mind set towards women is very much a part of
the story. Ms. Caskie has created a unique vehicle for her
new stories and I eagerly look forward to reading
Elizabeth
and Anne stories. Her unique voice will enchant readers.

bewitched by some wily blueblood pretender . . . even one
as deliciously tempting as Mary. But until she came along,
no woman has ever resisted his smooth, well-practiced

with this infuriating chit?
