"A debut novel but what a debut!!"
This may be Jean Johnson's debut novel but I have to say
it is a must read for those who enjoy fantasy and romance.
This is the beginning of hopefully a series of novels
about eight magical brothers who are born as four sets of
twins two years apart. Unfortunately they fulfill the
Curse of the Eight Prophesy and are exiled to Nightfall
Island so they can never marry and thus the Prophesy will
never come to pass. But never say never! The youngest
brother Morganen is also the strongest mage. He can scry
not only other dimensions but also other worlds. He
discovers a woman burning to death on Earth and rescues
her much to his oldest brother's dismay. You see, Kelly apparently is Saber's destiny. Saber
fights it to the bitter end but when they are both
poisoned by an unknown enemy, they have to work together
to save each other's lives and in doing so become very
close. Morg of course is thrilled and elated. He is tired
of being cursed and wants their destiny to proceed like it
should no matter what! Kelly loves it here on Nightfall Island and even when the
going gets tough she gets tougher. She may be the only
woman here but she will whip these brothers in shape or
else. She especially will work on Saber but to the
detriment or good of the prophesy? Only time will tell! I so thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful debut novel and
eagerly look forward to each of the other brothers'
stories. Jean Johnson can't write them fast enough for me!
