"Vegas vampires return"
Seamus Fox is on the hunt for the birth father of Becky
Balduzzi, but instead of finding him he insteads find
himself very attracted to the woman stripping behind the
screen in a Las Vegas strip club. He hasn't felt an
attraction like this in 200 years and he is compelled to
meet her. But when a she is hit by a car outside the club,
how will he convince her he turned her into a vampire for
her own good? One minute Cara was working as a stripper when she rushes
out when she senses that Seamus is in trouble. She instead
runs into trouble when she sees some men trying to hurt
Seamus and tries to protect him, but when she wakes up she
thinks Seamus' elevator doesn't go all the way to the top
when he tells her he is a vampire and she is now one too. Not only does Seamus have to contend with teaching the
fledgling Cara how to survive as a vampire, he has to find
out who is trying to sabatoge Ethan's bid for re-election. BIT THE JACKPOT by Erin McCarthy is the second book in her
vampire series and is even better then the first one. BIT
THE JACKPOT is a bit darker but the humor and sexiness of
the characters come through and make the pages sizzle. BIT THE JACKPOT is a must read for readers who fell in love
with the characters in HIGH STAKES. I personally cannot
wait for Brittany's story. Barb Hicks

SummaryPolitics make strange coffinfellows...
Vampire Seamus Fox is supposed to be the campaign manager
for a Vampire Nation presidential candidate. Instead, he
finds himself running around Vegas keeping tabs on the
candidate's wife and female entourage.
Seamus has had his fill of women: a disastrous and deadly
love affair has haunted him for over two centuries. Talk
about baggage. But suddenly he finds himself obsessed with
a mysterious stripper who dances behind a screen. The
sultry yet shy Cara Kim whets his appetite for more, but
leave it to Seamus to fall fangs over feet for that rarest
of Vegas attractions-a good girl.
After a sudden run-in on the street, though, they may soon
have a lot more in common...
