"Excellent story!"
Lady Tamlyn McShane kens ill omens. She has been having
restless dreams for days now. Still she cannot know the
depth of the omen until it actually happens. She just
knows deep down inside that it will be a bad one. Lord Julian Challon, aka the Black Dragon just knows once
he finally finds the McShane holdings pass that he's come
home. He knows there are three McShane sisters and he
already approached King Edward about letting he and his
illegitimate brothers marry the sisters. He has his sites
set on Castle Glenrogha and Tamlyn even though he has
never met her. Tamlyn waits too late to get back to the castle and the
Black Dragon's men come upon her. They are about to do
her bodily harm when Julian stops them not knowing who she
is. He takes her with him when he and his men storm Castle
Glenrogha's gates. He becomes enamored of her because she
is so strong and decides he will marry Lady Tamlyn but
will keep her as his leman. This makes Tamlyn furious but
not as furious as he becomes when he finds out exactly who
she is. With their history and background will they ever see eye
to eye? Only time will tell. This is one of those books that you want to savor just for
the beauty of the words and the strong hero and heroine.
Deborah MacGillivray wrote this book in such a way that it
played like a movie in my head while I read. I relish
books like this! Now I'm just waiting for more books in
this era from Ms. MacGillivray to come alive in my mind!
