REVIEW

"Three sisters who never met before"

TEXAS BAD BOYS is the newest bad boy anthology featuring authors Rosemary Laurey, Karen Kelley and Dianne Castell. Three sisters each receive an inheritance from the grandfather they never knew, but end up getting so much more.

In Rosemary Laurey's In Bad With Someone, Juliet French goes from England to Silver Gulch, Texas to find out she has inherited the Rooster, a bar owned by her paternal grandfather Pete Maddock, but there is one stipulation, she must live in Silver Gulch for three years before she can legally claim it.

Rod Carter has been running the Rooster for years and had been promised to get the bar when Pete died, but instead he ends up with a sexy, redheaded boss named Juliet who he would rather be in bed with than working with.

This story is an awesome beginning to the anthology. Rosemary Laurey does an awesome job of setting up the trilogy, with Rod and Juliet and has you turning up the a/c with the love scenes.

In Karen Kelley's Run of Bad Luck, Nina inherited her grandfather's ranch but she plans on selling it and going back to her life in California, photographing naked men for the pages of the magazine she shoots for. When she arrives at the ranch, she sees Lance and she knows she would love to get between the covers with him.

Lance wasn't too happy about getting a new boss, especially when the ranch was supposed to go to him when Pete Maddock died, but instead he left it to the granddaughter who he never met. After meeting Nina though, Lance is suddenly looking forward to the next three years.

Karen Kelley turns up the notch even more with this story. You can feel the heat index climb when Nina and Lance first set eyes on each other. Nina hasn't met a man yet who wouldn't be willing to drop their clothes for the magazine, and Lance doesn't think real cowboys pose naked in a magazine. It is fun to see who will win this battle.

Dianne Castell finishes up the anthology with Come to a Bad End, when Lillie turns the hotel she inherited from her grandfather into a spa. The men in Silver Gulch want her run out and to have it turned back into a hotel but not if the women of the town have anything to say about it. The men call on John Snow, to convince Lillie to change it back into a hotel, but all John can think about when he is around Lillie is trying to keep his hands to himself.

Dianne Castell does an awesome job of finishing TEXAS BAD BOYS, with Lillie and John. Lillie is every bit as stubborn as her red hair implies and John is equally stubborn to wait out the week he has left to go back to the Dallas PD.

Authors Rosemary Laurey, Karen Kelley and Dianne Castell do an awesome job of intertwining the three novellas of three half-sisters who never knew the other existed. Each one was told that their grandfather didn't want anything to do with them by their father, and their grandfather was told the same about each of them. The mystery surrounding the death of Pete Maddock is carried over into each novella.

The only thing about TEXAS BAD BOYS that I didn't like was the fact that it ended. I could easily read more about the town of Silver Gulch, Texas and their residents.

If you are a fan of all three ladies then you will definitely love this anthology. If you are reading one of these ladies for the first time, you will definitely be looking for their backlist.

Summary

These bad boys can deliver passion and pleasure with their boots on—and they're more than happy to let a woman mess with Texas...

In Bad with Someone by Rosemary Laurey
Rod Carter was supposed to end up running the Ragged Rooster. Instead, Old Man Maddox gave the bar to his granddaughter, some prissy Brit art gallery owner right off the boat from London. Miss Juliet Ffrench—yeah, two "f's"—knows jack-all about beer, winning friends, and running tabs, but she's got a killer smile. All the lady needs is someone to give her an education in Texas hospitality, up close and personal...

Run of Bad Luck by Karen Kelley
Nina Harris loves photographing naked, sexy men. But when she inherits her grandfather's ranch in Texas, and meets foreman Lance Colby, she thinks she may have met her match. Lance is pretty sure real cowboys don't drop trou for national magazines. Still, as a Texas gentleman, he'd be more than happy to give Nina a private showing...

Come to a Bad End by Dianne Castell
Silver Gulch Sheriff John Snow thinks women have their place—in his kitchen or his bed. He would certainly never go for some women's libber businesswoman like Lillie June. The men in town want him to close down her fancy new spa, and he's happy to oblige. But once he meets Lillie, soothing massages, personal pampering, and one-on-one body wraps don't seem like such a bad thing at all...
