"Part fairy tale farce, part romance"
Damon the Dark wants to seduce an angel so he can return to
hell; Devon just wants chocolate, an Alka-Seltzer, and a
trip home; and Alex just wants a quiet, peaceful life --
with Devon. So when his best friend Devon steps into a fairy ring and
disappears, Alex Gordon must become the exact thing he
fears, a warrior set out to save the fair maiden.
Unfortunately for Devon, she gets passed off as an angel
fallen to earth to appease the demon. Add a castle, a thorn
forest, living stone gargoyles, nasty fairies, and a
bumbling wizard to the mix, and you get an amusing, quick-
paced, humor-filled bit of light reading. Part fairy tale farce, part romance, PERHAPS is a fish-out-
of-water story told from the viewpoints of the hero, the
heroine, and the demon. The slyly written dialog and action
give it an almost slapstick feel at times. The author
manages to slip in the obligatory soul-searching the hero
and heroine must do to decide if they belong together. No
easy task considering they're apart for most of the story.
Even so, the action and quick dialog hold the elements
together well. It reminded me somewhat of "A Knight's
Tale". Altogether a funny, enjoyable read. I recommend it. Reviewed by Maven for Sensual Romance.
