"I'm not ready to leave these characters!"
When Jana Jasper was nine years old, several incredible
things happened in her life. When she and her brother and
sister were visiting their grandfather at his farm, she
saw a boy hanging in a tree outside her window.
Apparently she was the only one who could see him. She
unfortunately couldn't talk. It felt like all the words
were jumbled in her head and she couldn't make them come
out like she wanted them to. Even though she was told to
go to bed, she knew she had to go help Peter Pan as she
dubbed the boy in the tree. Jana and "Peter" had a wonderful evening and when she fell
and scraped her knee, Peter fixed it for her. Then he had
to leave and when she got home she found she just had to
tell her sister about Peter. She wasn't sure she could get
the words out but when she saw her sister, she started
talking like she'd been talking all of her life. So begins the career of Jana Jasper, thespian senator for
California. Even though her family thought Peter was an
imaginary friend, Jana knew better. She had fallen in
love with him and no man had ever lived up to his memory.
Then one day Jana is in the grocery when a man who looked
like he was from a science fiction movie walked up to her
and told her he was there to help save her planet. What
was Jana to think? Then when he told her exactly who he
was, Jana really didn't know what to think. Should she
believe him? Cavin of Far Star had never forgotten nine year old Jana
Jasper so when he heard that Earth was scheduled to be
acquired, he knew he had to try to save her and her
world. Could he do it before it's too late? He only has
one shot and it's a long shot at best. He has to try. I love Susan Grant's books and this one was simply
incredible. I loved the characters, the story and the
whole premise behind this fabulous book! My hope is that
Susan Grant will see fit to give us more stories with
these wonderful characters as I feel that there is more to
the story!

It's Bridget Jones' Diary meets War of the Worlds when a
scandal-plagued California state senator finds out that
her "imaginary" childhood friend is anything but when he
tracks her down twenty years later in an aisle in the
grocery store, a sexy, armor-clad interstellar warrior
demanding her help in averting an imminent alien invasion.
SummaryHe had her at "Greetings Earthling."
Think the grocery store is a great place to meet men?
Hunky interstellar fugitive, aisle 5
With outrageously false accusations piling up against her
famous political family and an ex-fiancé in hot water
determined to take her down with him, the last thing Jana
Jasper needs is more troubleespecially man trouble.
But when she heads to the grocery store for an ice cream
fix, not only does the muscled hunk in the frozen foods
section ranting about spaceships and invasions look crazy,
he looks...familiar.
Cavin of Far Star has never forgotten the girl he met during
his weeks spent on that quaint little world, planet Earth,
the girl who didn't believe he was real. And now he'll risk
his future to save her. All she has to do is take him to her
leader. Simple enough planalthough Jana isn't so
easily convinced. Hell-bent on charming his way past her
defenses, he's determined to stay one step ahead of the
galaxy's most feared assassinand may just capture his
favorite Earthling's heart in the process.
