REVIEW

"Book #2 in the Night Guardians miniseries"

Living on a Navajo reservation is a culture shock for Dr. Victoria Sommers. But, this much needed job will help pay off her student loans.

While watching a high school wrestling match, on the reservation, a very peculiar occurence happens and along with it,Dr. Ben Waneka is injured. Tory immediately takes over the care and hospitalization of Ben. She soon find that Ben is no ordinary doctor. True enough,he practices modern medicine but, he is also a Navajo medicine man. He mixes his modern medicine with his heritage to build trust and provide care for his people.

Ben feels a definite attraction to Tory but, their differences are vast. He is part of a secret society known as The Brotherhood. They protect and defend all who are affected by the evil Skinwalkers. These deadly shape shifters have the power to destroy. Plus, Ben is suffering from a debilitating disease ,for which there isn't a cure. He also knows that he must not get involved with a white woman a choose someone from his own culture.

While fighing off the deadly Shapeshifters they must also fight their feelings of love. They have a very difficult time letting the wall around their hearts down and to quit fighting their differences.

SHADOW WATCH is book two in the Night Guardians mini series. It is a fantastic read that brings, suspense, paranormal elements and American Indian heroes, into the mix. This book stands alone quite well but, you will certainly run for the first book. Linda Conrad shows off her gifted storytelling with this series. As always, she is a favorite!
