REVIEW

"Kirek's story, oh my!!!"

Ever since I've read THE CHALLENGE, I've been thoroughly intrigued with Kirek. He's proven himself up to whatever challenge has been thrown at him time and time again. Now comes the ultimate challenge. He knows what to do but he's not sure how to do it quite yet. Somehow he thinks The Perceptive Ones have it all planned out with him playing a key role.

Since Kirek was astral extended to the Zen home world and took eight years to finally make it back his psi has been damaged but it is rapidly repairing itself but not rapidly enough for Kirek. He knows he has to physically go back to the Zen world and figure out how to destroy them once and for all so that his world and that of the entire galaxy will be safe.

Kirek takes refuge on an abandoned piece of space junk knowing that someone would salvage it. He has no way of knowing that Captain Angel Taylor will be that person. Now he has to make it worth her while to help him reach his goal. Kirek also cannot begin to imagine how desperate the Zen are to have him destroyed along with whomever he comes in contact with.

Now it is up to Kirek and to Angel to figure out what they have to do to finally get to the Zen world and to destroy them even though it is against Kirek's very fiber of his being to destroy anyone.

I was intrigued from first page to last and was extremely grouchy the entire time I was reading this book because I didn't want to put it down to take care of my every day mundane chores or to even 'heaven forbid' work. Unfortunately this meant that I finished this book much too quickly. Ah, well, there's always a re-read! This story now resides on my groaning keeper shelf with the others in the series!
