"Fun Filled Sci-Fi Romance"

Prince Tarrant-Arragon of the Royal Djinn was fuming after he overheard a taped conversation of his chosen mate discussing what a nasty, disgusting, and thoroughly debased lover he must be. Not bad enough to have his sexual prowess besmirched, of which he was extremely proud, but to state that she would do herself bodily harm rather than ever submit to such a beast -- well, that was too much to bear! With so much at stake, Tarrant decided he could woo his intended and have their union consummated in a quickly calculated, and smoothly choreographed kidnapping and seduction.

Djinni Vera the last virgin female of the royal Djinn was no fool. Although drugged and kidnapped by the handsome warrior who tricked her she was not about to succumb to his lying, cheating charm -- no matter how smooth his moves were. Being able to mind read and aware of her own secret betrothal to her childhood hero J-J, (whom she hadn't seen in 13 years) she would do what ever she could to keep her sex-starved captor off balance and guard her virginity. Countering his every move with one of her own Tarrant soon discovered that his future Queen, was not only going to check his king, but she was going to conquer his heart.

This was a very original, complex and highly creative futuristic read that I found to be immensely entertaining. Tarrant whom Djinni nicknamed 'Tigger' was an arrogant alpha male. Knowing Djinni could 'mind-read' his attempt to keep his true identity from her were by constantly mind blocking her efforts and keeping his mind on sexual exploits. This worked very well for the sexually innocent Djinni. As a Saurian White Knight she not only did not want to end up as one of his conquests, she definitely did she want him discovering that her father was alive and head of the Saurian White Knights that were trying to take his empire down! Djinni was smart, brave, and honorable in trying to stay true to her childhood betrothal. I found the romance itself to be both amusing and sensually lovely as Tarrant mellowed out very well. Turn about was fair play in that while trying to trick his way into Djinni's heart Tarrant found he'd lost his own to her.

While the exciting plot, romance, and back burner political maneuvering keeps you turning the pages of this lengthy novel, the abundance of secondary characters did slow my reading keeping me looking back at the convenient hierarchy chart in the front to keep everyone in perspective. I thought the amount of humor, romance, and intrigue was in perfect balance and well written in this very fine debut for this author. In spite of the plethora of secondary characters which were all integral to the story, fans of sci-fi romance novels are going to love this new author and her exciting intergalactic series.
